Doodlin’
Wow, long time, no art!
To semi make up for it here’s a mermaid sketch (with BOOBIES!!) from my sketchbook.
(sorry about the crappy quality, my scanner is broken so I had to resort to my iPhone.)
I’ve been extremely busy with working the mornings and going to school right after in the evenings. My days are crammed and it’s really draining. My motivation and creativity are really taking a hit. I miss drawing and painting so much, but if I find the time to do anything about it my motivation falls off a cliff.
I really hope it changes soon and I’m able to find time, but in fact my schedule will get even more hectic when I have to switch my school hours over to mornings and my work hours over to nights at the end of August. I just have to keep pushing forward until the end of January!

Keep an eye out, I might be streaming some more progress in the future!
So this is not a horribly well known fact about me, but I love superheroes, especially super heroines. Because who doesn’t love kick ass women? And out of all those kick ass women Wonder Woman is probably my favorite, even though there are plenty that I also adore. So here’s a doodle possibly soon to be painting of my favorite Amazon!
Color Wheel project for school.
I thought it was fitting with the hair since it’s cosmetology. Trying more stylized/cartoony stuff. I think a couple of them look a bit too much like Loish’s style, which was completely unintended. I had a lot of fun with playing around with the faces, but the hair was murder!
Finished! This was a really nice practice with wrinkles, lighting, values, and men (since I don’t draw them very often) and I had to do a LOT of revisions from the original sketch. I’m happy to be adding a piece to the wonderful Sherlock fanart already out there!
I used references
Photoshop CS5, Intuos4
